Back in 2017, after a few trips together to Anglesey’s Holy Island, we were looking for a way to continue to make music together without being in the same room.

Constructed over 2 months, we began, as all good things should, with a random order-generator to decide our places in an imagined circle. In our own time, we each recorded a foundational layer of music - a beat, a rhythm, some chords or some ambience - and sent it to the next person in the circle, who, in collaboration with (or as challenge to) what they received, added their contribution and passed it on again.

6 fledgeling pieces of music journeyed around the circle this way until all of us had made our mark - an improvisation across time - together while not together. The tracks were not discussed until we gathered to reveal them at the end. We hope you enjoy listening to them for the first time as much as we did.
